Collab

Team chat for software consultancies

Your client sees the project.
Your team sees everything.

Collab puts the client conversation and the internal one in the same channel. Mark a message internal and your client never receives it — no second workspace, no message sent to the wrong window.

Same channel, same moment. The 09:17 note is marked internal, so it is filtered out before it reaches the client's connection — not hidden in their browser.

What you get

Built for the way consultancies actually work

Every project is a workspace. Every workstream is a channel. Clients get exactly the channels you invite them to.

internal messages
Toggle a message internal before you send it. External members never receive it — the filter runs on the server, so it is not something a client can inspect their way around.
channel-level guests
Invite a client to one channel instead of the whole workspace. They see that channel and nothing around it.
threads and mentions
Reply in a thread to keep the channel readable. @mention pulls someone in and leaves them a record of what they were pulled into.
task links
Type /task to search Board and drop a live task card into the conversation. Turn any message into a task from its hover menu — the task keeps a link back to the message that started it.
status updates
/post-update posts a structured done / next / blockers card, so the standup lives in the channel instead of a document nobody opens.
ai commands
/summarize catches you up on a channel, /actions pulls out what people committed to, and /ask answers a question about the conversation.
secret detection
API keys, tokens and high-entropy strings are masked as the message renders. Hover to reveal, click to copy — so a pasted key is not sitting in plain sight on someone's second monitor.
search
Full-text search across every channel you have access to, with the same visibility rules applied.

Your data

How long the conversation lasts

Client work gets audited, disputed and reopened. You should know what is still there when that happens.

Message historyKept indefinitelyMessages are kept for as long as the workspace exists. Nothing expires on its own.
Backups30 daysThe database can be restored to any second in the last 30 days, so a bad delete is recoverable.
DeletionOn requestDelete a message and it leaves the channel for everyone. Owners can export or erase a member's data whenever they need to.
